Anna's Piano Studio

A little about me:

Hello! I'm Anna VanGilst and I love to play the piano. At the age of six, my parents enrolled me in lessons, and 30 years later, I am still honing my craft. In 2009, I proudly graduated Cum Laude from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN, with a B.A. in Music Performance, specializing in piano.

With over a decade of experience as a music teacher, I have honed my skills as an accompanist for vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs, and musicals. Today, I am proud to offer private in-studio piano lessons to students in the Anoka County, MN area, where I continue to share my love for music and inspire the next generation of musicians.

My teaching style:

As a dedicated piano teacher, my ultimate aim is to equip each of my students with the strong foundation they need to excel as musicians. During our lessons, we will delve into the essential elements of piano playing, including theory, technique, music reading, and expressive performance. My hope is that by the end of their time with me, my students will have the knowledge and skills to play beautifully for many years to come.
